Spreading the Football Fever
FIFA has officially locked in the 48 Team Base Camp (TBC) locations where national squads will live, recover, and train throughout the 2026 group stages.
The Geographic Breakdown
To manage the immense travel logistics of a continent-wide tournament, FIFA has strategically clustered the camps:
- United States: 39 teams will be based across the US, stretching from state-of-the-art collegiate facilities in the Midwest to private resort complexes in Florida.
- Mexico: 7 teams will embrace the altitude and passionate local culture south of the border.
- Canada: 2 teams will enjoy the cooler summer climates of the northern host cities.
Crucially, many of these base camps are located in communities that are not hosting actual matches. This ensures that the economic benefits and the overall excitement of the World Cup reach far beyond the 16 primary host cities.
